Can I migrate my PigChamp data file to Porcitec?

Absolutely! The PigChamp DOS and PigCare3000 database converts virtually 100% to Porcitec. You simply upload your database online. Conversion is free, and in most cases takes less than 24 hours.

Will I have the same reports available in Porcitec?

Yes. Porcitec uses National Pork Board (NPB) standards for formulas and terminology. Virtually all reports that are in PigChamp you will find in Porcitec, and more.

Will I be able to use Data Applications or create complex queries?

Yes, in fact the Porcitec custom report designer is much more powerful. Mathematical expressions can be performed with the hundreds of variables. Any custom report or database query made in PigChamp can be made in Porcitec. Porcitec includes new report designers that are much more sophisticated, and will even allow you to create your own sow cards, performance reports, summaries, etc. Report designers in Porcitec include query, histogram, distribution, cross-tabulations, breakdown, and more.

Is entering data slower?

No, in fact data entry is much faster!  Porcitec includes several unique ways to enter data: Batch, Fast Entry, and Pocket PC. If you are accustomed to PigChamp DOS or PigCare3000 data entry, you will not be disappointed with the data entry system in Porcitec.  You can eliminate keystrokes by customizing events, and when using Batch Entry you can process records in minutes instead of hours.
