PORCISAN, at the forefront of optimizing production processes in the pork sector, has integrated its ERP with Porcitec, avoiding double data entry and minimizing errors. Discover how they have achieved this.
PORCISAN is a white and Iberico pig farming company that manages around 31,000 breeding sows, with a strong corporate culture based on its productive know-how, continuous improvement of its processes, respect for ethical values, and a focus on people and the environment. For this reason, they have launched an ambitious digital transformation plan utilizing Porcitec technology. This allows them to redesign the farm's working model by capturing real-time data using mobile devices with QR code readers or electronic identification, streamlining and minimizing errors in the process. The data is then processed and presented in the form of dashboards or through Power BI. Additionally, through a Web API, Porcitec can connect to external systems such as an ERP.
Some of the data collected in Porcitec is also used in the ERP for financial management. In the first phase, Porcitec synchronizes data related to breeding sows and the outputs of weaned animals (site 1 and site 2).
The Farm Closure is a monthly system that stores key indicators of the farm at the end of each month, such as inventory, production events, feed expenses, and other cost-related data. The Farm Closure allows the modifying of production data in the program without restrictions and without altering the monthly "picture" used for ERP purposes, premium payments, etc. This solves the problem of having to choose between having accurate data in the production program or having reliable and unalterable data in the financial part.
These data are automatically incorporated into the Porcisan ERP through an API.
In a second phase, the process of fattening data (site 3) is being studied for optimization. This involves recording fattening inputs, deaths, weights, sales, etc., in the Porcitec mobile app and linking it to the management ERP. In this case, integration is two-way; the ERP generates a truck loading forecast, which is used in the Porcitec app, which, in turn, sends actual sales data to the ERP.
The ERP is constantly updated with the data recorded at the farm level with Porcitec, streamlining data capture, unifying production information with financial data, and automatically detecting discrepancies between the two systems.
